Police arrest 24 after Kansas City church incident
Police arrested 24 people including four juveniles after a Sunday clash at Linwood Methodist Church in Kansas City. The Rev Ralph Roland pressed disturbing a religious service charges. 23 arrestees were Black. All released on 100 dollar bonds to appear in municipal court June 4.

Turner's Young Son Laid To Rest After Panama City Crash
Services for John Roland Turner seven year old son of Captain and Mrs John Franklin Turner were held at First Presbyterian Church with Rev George Hoglan officiating. He died in Panama City Florida after a car driven by Angeline Manor crossed the center line and struck the Turner vehicle. Manor faces driving while intoxicated charges as authorities pursue further counts.

Lightning Kills Three On Kansas Farm Family
Three members of the Fisher family were killed by a lightning strike at a Jackson County farm near Hoyt Kansas. Victims were James Fisher 38 his son Larry Fisher 3 and the child's maternal grandfather Albert Toews 66. They were under a cottonwood tree during a sudden thunderstorm when the bolt struck. The Fisher farm lies about 4 1/2 miles west of Hoyt roughly 15 miles north of Topeka.
