City council opens bids for $40,000 water and light bonds
The city council met Friday evening and opened bids for the $40,000 water and lights bonds to install a modern system. Jack & Schmitz of Baker City won with $40,250 at 5 percent interest. Other bidders included State Bank of Idaho at 6 percent with $500 premium, E H Rollins & Son at 5 percent less 2 percent, Charles H Coffin at 6 percent, and Mason Lewis Co at 6 percent with $1,244 premium.
