Reports indicate a large financing push from eastern interests to develop key mining sites in central Idaho. Backers expect accelerated ore extraction and job growth as infrastructure improvements accompany the capital infusion.

He located on Smith creek and worked on the Werdenhoff group, sold recently to H L Hollister for eastern interests. He plans to return home to Pennsylvania in spring, content with his profits and future prospects.
County Clerk J F Smith issued several marriage licenses on different dates. Orlen Piper of Nyssa Oregon to wed Alice L Verley of Payette on November 14. Thomas J Glenn of Council to wed Amanda Forline of Council on November 16. Roy R Shafer of Cambridge to wed Jessie Wilkerson of Indian Valley on November 18. Hans W Korup of Weiser to wed Georgia M Kilpatrick of Weiser by November 18.
E M Barton purchased Wednesday from H H White of Boise the lot and building on Koff Street occupied by the Leader store and the library. The price paid was $2600. The location is described as a very desirable one and Barton secured a bargain.
The board of pardons released John Walker from custody after serving two years of a five year grand larceny sentence. Full citizenship is restored and he reunites with his family amid public belief in his innocence.
Last evening at the Weiser Academy the literary society opened a series of declamation contests to form a strong team. The program featured various performances including Miss Wilkerson Miss Goble and Mills Adameon along with violin and music numbers. A later note advertises Take Laxative Bromo Quinine Tablets with Grove's signature on each box and a 25 cent price.
H. L. Hollister drives rapid development in the Thunder Mountain district with eastern capital backing. A one mile tunnel on Wordenhoff group on Smith creek progresses through multiple veins yielding ore assayed from 20 per ton to hundreds. Black Swan claim spans 600 feet with ongoing winter work and spring expansion planned.
Warren and Thunder Mt residents celebrate the restoration of Meadows to Warren mail service. Ross Krigbaum accepts a year contract for 5800 but department approves 5500, enabling daily dispatches after winter cuts.Meadows post office has handled 150 pounds daily with freight volumes increasing as two to three tons were logged recently.
J. M. Fanborg, pioneer of Thunder Mt., returned from New York City where he sold two promising Thunder Mt. groups at Athena and Lighting Peak to a New York syndicate. The properties adjoin Dewey and Wisdom. Sale price not disclosed but described as a good round figure. New buyers plan immediate work and will reveal details in Weiser soon. Fanborg notes strong interest in Idaho mining.
Frank Korup offers turkey duck chicken and goose dressed or alive with oysters mince pie fillings for Thanksgiving. Place orders early to avoid being overlooked and catch market price deals advertised by Cordelle Crockery in a separate column.
G W Helm of Warren held a stake in Warren and Thunder Mountain property regions for years. He located Dundee and Glasgow properties on Profile Creek and recently sold them to a New York company led by H L Hollister. Helm will travel to California for a winter vacation after a profitable sale.
William Baker, a bridgeman on the railroad bridge at American Futla, fell fifty feet and died in Pocatello after the accident on the 20th. Baker, well known in Weiser, suffered severe injuries including a broken neck.
Old resident Mrs Elizabeth Brassfield died at James P Gray residence in Weiser on Wednesday morning November 19 at age 77 years 11 days. She came from Missouri in 1864 and lived in Umitilla County Oregon then Idaho before settling in Weiser in 1873. Survived by five children and the body was laid to rest in Weiser cemetery after funeral at 2 p m conducted by Rev Delepine of the Baptist church.
G H Hogue in charge of a government surveying party encamped near Bouras post office on Mann Creek. They will survey Emmett next and study two reservoir sites at Dobie Flat above Bourne and Rock Springs. They examine ditch lines from Moon Creek to Rock Springs to move Mann Creek waters, possibly at lower cost. Snow at Dobie Flat exceeds a foot. Also references advertisements for baking powder Perfect and medicines from Davis Drug, with testimonials for One Minute Cough Cure and Electric Bitters.
