Town meeting forms ticket to push West Weiser extension
In a Saturday assembly at the court house, citizens organized a convention to discuss the town election. They adopted a platform favoring westward extension, no municipal debt, street improvements funded by the road and license funds, mandatory sidewalks, sanitary supervision, a road supervisor as marshal, and a funded police department. Five trustees were nominated, with Ed Barton, John Dobbs, and Frank Harris endorsed from the other convention, and W. W. Pritchett and Herman Haas chosen by acclamation.
