A large Weiser meeting nominated Thos E Kelly for mayor, S H Travis for city clerk, and city engineer candidates Charles W Lueck and D A Utter with Utter winning by secret ballot 79 to 68. Ward nominees A P Fitt Isaac Leighton and James J Coakey were selected for council seats as the convention adjourned.
The eighth grade exams in Washington County will be held on the last Friday and Saturday of March and May. All eligible pupils may take the test and diplomas will be awarded. Exams occur in Council Cambridge Caprum Salubria Middle Valley Mann Creek Sunnyside the Flat Weiser and other districts as needed.

Mrs I B Flynn, former Weiser resident now in DeQueen Arkansas, writes her niece that she will return to Weiser to reside. Her husband Thomas Flynn died last January. he was a longtime member of Weiser lodge No 23 A F and A M. The couple once ran a restaurant in Weiser about eight years ago.

At 9 p m in Mrs J H Henthorn’s home in Weiser the marriage of E H Galey and Della Lake Hawthorn was performed by Rev B H Ashmun of the Congregational church. A reception and dance followed with guests from Boise Portland and Weiser as the couple plan a ten to twelve day trip to Portland. They will reside on Main Street upon return.
Frank W. Perry editor of the Enter prise in Shortsville claims Chamberlain's Cough Remedy cured his grip after a cold winter attack. He says a teaspoonful eased coughing and sleepless nights, noting the remedy shortened the second episode. The notice promotes Hawthorn's Addition lots and old papers for sale by the Signal office.
