Copper ore sale at Blue Jacket mine in Seven Devils Idaho
Under manager F J French three carloads of high grade ore from the Blue Jacket mine were sold locally to John C Griffiths for Chicago refiners. First class ore yielded about 28 percent copper with gold and silver values roughly eight dollars per ton. a second class at 22.7 percent copper carried similar metal values. French called it a market test against New York and noted the mine is in fine condition with ore averaging eight percent on the dump awaiting handling facilities. The South Peacock and Railroad mine reports followed with optimism amid broader China and Pekin unrest abroad and social events in Boise.
