A Monday evening adjourned session of the Olly Watchers council gathered to review pending items. Members discussed routine city matters and approved a short agenda before adjourning.
The Weiser city council met January 14 1901 in adjourned session approving a map by Charles W Luck as official city map and advancing two ordinances. One authorizes a February 18 1901 special election to issue fifty five thousand dollars in municipal bonds for water works electric lights and fire department. the other directs action on water pipes under the U S L Company tracks. The meeting also named a temporary chief of police and discussed plans for water works and electric light plants.
For the regular Teachers Meeting on January nineteenth the program includes History by Prof Foresman 30 minutes Methods by Mr Pope 30 minutes How to Treat Tardiness and Absence by Miss Sanford 20 minutes Nature Study on Winter Phenomena and Explanation by Dr Foster 20 minutes Educational Stories by Miss Keyes 20 minutes Meetings held at the central school on the third Saturday monthly with 10 am start and time for state reading circle work and discussions.

They selected Rich as messenger to convey the vote to the electoral college in Washington. The college meets in February with each messenger receiving 43 compensation 25 cents a mile one way.
Railwork advances set for future expansion with several carloads of rails being unloaded at P. and S. N. yards in Weiser. L. G. Wilkerson notes 50 miles of iron bought for the Seven Devils trench from Council Wantho.
Knights of Pythay lodge along with Odd Fellows and Rebekahs hold a regular installation ceremony. New officers are installed, reflecting fraternal groups' continuity and community service traditions. Members attend with local officials and family in attendance.

Odd Fellows and Rebekahs joined in a grand ball with many members and guests. new officers for both lodges were named and praised. An Outlook Club entertainment at the opera house featured varied acts and a Manila camp life re-enactment, with proceeds to aid a city park.
