Letters from prospective settlers across Ohio, Texas, Illinois and Denver show strong interest in Idaho but seek information on Thunder Mountain mining prospects, best travel routes and costs. Walter Moore and Charles Campbell earned 150000 dollars last summer after locating three mining claims in Thunder Mountain country and gave an option on them to H T Hendryx of Baker City Oregon. Hendryx immediately went to New York to negotiate with a brokerage firm to sell the properties.
