Idaho Eyes State Weather Service Begun In 1892
The August 16 1892 notice from the U S Weather Bureau Idaho Falls proposes a state weather service to cooperate with the national bureau. Stations in each county, volunteer observers, and monthly reports aim to publish weather bulletins aiding agriculture and commerce. Equipment costs total about 20 dollars with observers spending minutes daily.
