Washington county Idaho adjourns amid road districts and highways
The Washington county Idaho board of commissioners adjourned after a ten day session. They created Road District No. 23 from part of the county area, appointed Arthur W. Robertson as road overseer, and accepted S. P. Morse resignation. They also designated School District No. 44 and approved several road and tax matters with warrants issued from road and current expense funds.

In Mullan, April 14, a deputy sheriff was wounded in an ambush as Jim Rose and A H Williams walked the street. Powell, an ex prize fighter, was found dead nearby with a revolver tied to the incident. Sheriff Sutherland and local officers pursued the assailants, bloodhounds failed to track, and Williams is recovering in hospital.
