Train wreck near La Grande disrupts No. 2 flyer
Train No. 2 overland east bound derailed at Perry a small station about miles west of La Grande Friday night around nine. Engine held rails after striking a misplaced frog. Mail baggage car and one coach ditched. A passenger J. J. Ferguson of Weiser bruised but not seriously. A hobo was fatally injured and taken to La Grande. Rescue and cleanup completed by Saturday morning with aid from La Grande and Baker City doctors.
