Death of Lord Edward Fitzgerald death by water infusion verdict
Circulated reports about the death are corrected. The coroner’s jury finds Lord Edward Fitzgerald died from an infusion of water into the left chest with inflammation of the lung, caused by fever from great anxiety of mind, aided by two wounds. His last hours were marked by tenderness with family and devout prayer.
