The upper story of his house is now finished and painted inside and out, the garden has been enhanced, and Mrs. Webster takes delight in the improvements. It seems but yesterday that the Judge chose and built on his current location, once surrounded by rocks and sagebrush, while now this part of town features fine residences.
Constable Barlow questioned a pair for vagrancy yesterday and Judge Rich ardaas released them on the condition they exit town by dawn. Reports say they departed on time and followed the order.
Virginia City Odd Fellows guests A Silent Mistake and partners were pretended detained by Sheriff Doran in Carson after arriving from New York. W H Treadway rescued a two and a half year old girl from the flour mill ditch after she floated downstream. Dr Johnson provided artificial respiration and the child revived. Proadway spotted a broom before the girl slipped under the wheel, risking further danger.
