How it Appears to a New Comer in Reno
A visitor arriving on the Overland through Reno may misjudge the town from the depot area but should linger to see Virginia street as a thriving business thoroughfare. The residential areas show neat homes, well kept grounds, and abundant foliage. The Truckee river adds scenic appeal while the town displays steady thrift and potential growth tied to rich agricultural surroundings and underutilized water power. A wool mill could boost industries if freight tariffs hinder it is addressed.
