The Essex Poisonings Case Opens In Ramsey

Improvement at Steyn's Rooms Royal Exchange inside decorates walls

The Royal Exchange known as Lloyds has been made more commodious with interior walls finished and decorated in a modern style. Staircase and lobby wear a deep stone colour with granite and porphyry-like features. The Times hatigonial and Captain Lyddekker monuments adorn the east and west walls. Subscribers, library, and merchants rooms appear in light green with tasteful decoration by Messrs Cabitt under a committee.
