Dramatic Season Delights At The London Theatres

The drama at Daury Lane and other theatres drew large fashionable crowds. Carlotta Grisi’s dancing gains praise while Gustavus the Third lacked novelty. The Peri ballet enchanted, and Miss Rainforth shone in Balfe's Geraldine. At the Haymarket Old Parr’s puff and the Parr legend attract attention amid health scares and industry chatter. The Princess's Opera and Adelphi showcases feature strong debuts by Miss Woolgar and Miss Bennett, with Morris Barnett praised. Ad endings note continued novelty and the Olympic and New Strand securing annual licenses.
