The Just Punishment of John Mitchel

Pardons Granted for Two Transportees in May 1848

In Worcester and Whitehall records, Charles Box and George Tolley, two men transported for burglary, are declared innocent by last assizes findings. Sir Denis Le Marchant and Sir G Grey authorize a free pardon after new inquiries. Both received 15 year sentences previously.
