The Sheldon experiment pays for Kansas Capital paper
Topeka March 15 The Sheldon experiment will be a paying investment for the Capital company. It is estimated the Sheldon edition will reach 400000 copies with 100000 more in street sales in New York Chicago and Europe. Three hundred thousand subscriptions have been sent in by church organizations and Epworth Leagues at 15 cents a week with ten cents extra to subscribers. Proceeds would net nearly 59000, potentially over 65000 with foreign advertising. The aim is to lift the paper from a 50000 debt carried 12 years. The editor will not take pay. about 10000 may be offered to Mr Sheldon for discretion.
