Eldorado Kansas June 28 Jessie Morrison was found guilty of manslaughter in the second degree for the murder of Mrs Olin Castle. The penalty ranges from three to five years in the penitentiary. An appeal was filed by her lawyer. Morrison was escorted to jail after the verdict following a long jury deliberation. Nearby, during deliberations, Olin Castle and Jessie's brother Hawvard Morrison played in a city park concert.

Frank C Forrent age 21 and Louise Strothoff age 20 were found dead near Strother farm seven miles east of Quincy with an empty revolver at the scene. Strother had three bullets in her body and Forrent two in his. Forrent had recently shifted affections to another girl and had visited Strothoff with John Dillmeyer.
