Mexican War Veterans to Celebrate Fifty Years in Vandalia
The Mexican war veterans will mark the fiftieth anniversary at Vandalia Illinois on August 19 and 20 1896 inviting veterans wives daughters sons and widows to their homes. M E Sunday School and League Picnic Reported Successful
The M E Sunday School held a picnic at Jarvia Grove last Thursday. The event drew a sizable crowd from several towns, with the Schultze Band leading a 9 o’clock procession. Evening Epworth League activities drew a large crowd and the total proceeds reached 115.
