Reports describe Kullman, a young Catholic, attempting to kill Prince Bismarck on the 18th in Kissingen Bavaria amid church-government tensions. The errant youth was arrested, while distant headlines note weather droughts in Kentucky and growing western disturbances.
An officer who traveled with Agent Miles of the Cheyenne and Arapaho agencies spoke as an eye witness to brutal massacres along the route, arriving just yesterday to recount the grim events and the government’s response.
