Roads and Bridges Update From District Engineer

Facts and rumours about area roads and ferries are clarified by Pat Carr District Engineer. Hart Highway will gain 113 miles of new pavement from the gravel past Walei Hill west to Wildemere Creek. Pine Pass sees 40 miles of improvements and paving underway. Hudson Hope ferry will not operate until late May. a 40 foot tower remains to be built on the Hudson Hope side and crews from Ft Nelson are due about the 15th for a two week construction period.

Pipeline Plans Shift for Fort Nelson to Willow Flats

Westcoast Transmission outlines a delayed Fort Nelson to Willow Flats pipeline project. Start likely in 1963 with priority given to Fort St. John and Fort Nelson area gathering systems.
