Entry fee 12 dollars per rink due by 12 noon March 15. Three games guaranteed. Ice improving with recent cold snaps. Curlers should contact Lorne McQueen promptly.
On Tuesday six electors voted with By law 7 receiving 61 YES 25 NO and 71 percent while By law 8 earned 75 YES 11 NO and 87 percent both above the 60 percent threshold. Final council approval expected at the next meeting with plans to let contracts for summer work to restore the street before freeze up. The council previously weighed Winter Works aid but favored a summer project for economy.
A three-group delegation urged District 59 to offer Grade eleven, praising a sympathetic hearing by the Dawson Creek board. The group urged annexing four Windrem School rooms as junior high space with future high school potential, while planning for west end elementary facilities amid anticipated growth.
