Camp facilities lacking for Hart Highway tourists
The Chetwynd Chamber of Commerce lobbied Provincial officials last year over a shortage of camp sites along the Hart Highway and beyond. While some Alberta road camps exist from Edmonton to the D C border, Bear Lake near Prince George is the only suitable site toward Prince George. Dawson Creek Chamber president Mike McGillivray criticized government inaction, noting Forestry Department normally builds camps though no access or improvements exist at Moberly Lake.
