Reverend Schnarrenberger Leaves Chetwynd for Coast Pastoral Charge
Reverend Phillip Schnarrenberger, longtime pastor of Chetwynd Zion Presbyterian Church, will preach a farewell sermon before moving to Vancouver to lead Robertson Presbyterian Church. In his absence, Harry Paul of Fort St John will share duties with Dawson Creek’s Rev. McKinnon until a new minister is appointed. Evening services continue, with Sunday school in the morning.

Jaycees Raise Tree Near Hart Highway Intersection
The Jaycees Village Yule Tree Project was completed last weekend with volunteers and a truck or two setting the tree near the Hart Highway and Moberly Lake Road intersection. Cold, brittle limbs broke during the fall, and digging the frozen ground was tough. a Jaycee suggested transplanting two or three spruce trees into town next summer as a permanent Xmas decorating site.

A delegation from the Associated Chambers of Commerce of the Peace River District will travel to Prince George on January ? to back Greater Peace Forest Products pulp harvesting near the Peace River area. Intercontinental Pulp Company seeks a mill at Prince George and Taylor, B C, with Chetwynd Chamber backing. Intercontinental would ship chips to the Prince George mill. granting the licence would boost local production.
