School Board Recommends Bus to Chetwynd for East Pine Pupils
The Board of School District No. 59 urged a school bus run from East Pine to Chetwynd School to transport secondary pupils about 22 miles instead of to Dawson Creek 43 miles away. Parents could not afford dormitory fees, making education beyond Grade 8 difficult unless bus service is provided.
