Hamilton County Fair Home Talent Is A Hit At Opera House
The Congregational ladies hosted a successful Hamilton County Fair evening at the opera house. A cast of local performers presented sketches and songs with Miss Hester Huff as soloist and a Teddy Bear Chorus. The show drew about $157 in ticket receipts and many in attendance enjoyed acts from Giggling Sal and Mrs. Dysart to the Oldsmobile and Mexico choruses, with several tableaus and a final rousing closing chorus.

Carload of Cinders Triggers Fire Alarm at Depot
Tuesday night a fire alarm rang after a report of smoke from Crooked Creek depot. Firemen found a carload of cinders on the track near the Johnson House corner, brought from Lehigh, still warm and smouldering. The false alarm arose from mistaken smoke near the depot.

Nine Year Old Boy Drowns Crossing Creek
A letter from William Atkin Minnesota reports nine year old Job Badu drowned while crossing a small creek on horseback after recent rains. The boy fell into the swollen water and could not be rescued. The family, including Mr Bain formerly of the area, receives community sympathy.
