Stevens went under beyond his depth and remained missing for nearly two hours before rescuers found him.
John Hovel a wealthy farmer was killed when his wagon ran away at Plymouth. His companion William Kruger was seriously hurt and may die. Hovel attempted to drive two young colts when they panicked and bolted, throwing Hovel from the wagon at once breaking his neck. Kruger is hospitalized.
Frank Kuyper a section foreman aged 659 years was struck by a freight engine and instantly killed yesterday morning near Carroll. He lived in Templeton and was employed by the Milwaukee Road.
