The Wickware family receives $50 000 each from an California uncle who died in May. eight children in Webster City including May Sara Elsie Kate and Dana Wickware receive shares while four other relatives in Chicago and Los Angeles receive $50 000 each. The uncle, once wealthy from California gold, lost much in the San Francisco earthquake. He left half to his wife and the rest to family in Webster City and other cities.

State Encampment Plans at Spirit Lake for Soldier Boys
