Mrs. Henry Symonds, age 76, died suddenly at her West Bank street home on Thursday around four o'clock. She woke with side pain and breathlessness, then died before medical help could aid her. Husband Ezra Symonds resides in Loveland California. son notified and funeral plans pending. The obituary notes a long Webster City residence and a 35‑40 year home in the same West Bank street house.

Local talent to headline Hamilton County Fair in Webster City

Accident at Beigh Tol Planing Mill Leaves Man Details
At the John Beightol planing mill on North Des Moines street, Thomas Beroth lost two fingers from his right hand while operating an idle planer. He said he had run a planer most of his life and this was his first accident. He brushed shavings from the carriage and his hand was drawn in, severing the third and fourth fingers at the second joint.

Representative Conner settled the Jewell Iowa postmaster contest naming Fred N. Taylor the old soldiers candidate to succeed Gilbert Knudson who served ten years. Funeral of F. E. Randolph Observed by Community
The funeral for F. E. Randolph was held Tuesday with a large gathering. Odd Fellows Baracas Rebekahs and Philotheas led processions and flowers filled the church. Rev J B Smith preached on Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So and praised his faith and service. The casket laid in state at the church then moved to the depot for burial in Madison Wisconsin.

Shriners Boy Cornetists Play For McKinley Visit
A Cleveland Shriner delegation met President McKinley at the White House with boys Alois and John Hruby, two young cornetists whose duet drew praise and encores. The Hruby Brothers quintette, now touring, will appear Monday at the armory opera house under Chautauqua association, with tickets 25, 50, and 15 cents for children.
