James F. Byrnes and party arrived in Washington from Paris at 10:35 a.m. He planned to report to the nation Monday night after meeting with President Truman. Dousman Man Dies in Crash Near Oconto area
Manley Wood 28 of Dousman died instantly when a Ford sedan left Highway BB south of Oconomowoc and struck a tree. Harold Bischer 24 was injured with a broken leg and other injuries after telling responders he fell asleep at the wheel. Wood lived with grandparents on a nearby farm. he recently left the Army.

Train Crew Killed in Fog Shifts Two Caboom Fatalities

William Strassburger, 58, longtime bank cashier assistant at First National Bank Appleton, will be honored with funeral services May 20 after dying May 16 following a baseball game attended.

Driver Blamed in Auto Wreck
Coroner jury found Francis Shields of Oconomowoc negligent in the April 21 crash that killed 83 year old Mary McAteer of Oconomowoc. Dist. Atty. Brenner said charges will be filed soon, potential counts ranging from reckless driving to negligent homicide.
