Mrs Dingeldine credits confidence and a farm girl past for half a century of baking success. Brownie troop No. 71 at Hadfield School staged a Mother’s Day program in the school basement. Principal Gladys Steel and Miss Ruth Mogg hosted guests including Girl Scout executives. Susan Mary Vogel Judy and Sally Trovato performed There Was an Old Wes. Miss Mogg showed the film Ways to Help 2 Troop. Cakes shaped as spring bars and orangeade refreshments followed. Leaders were Mrs Margaret Lemaire, Mrs Art Hornj and Mrs Lloyd Veget.
The Double or Nothing club met for square dancing at the Methodist church last night with Russell Schuetze calling the steps. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Howard and others. a service group discussed Alcan care, and Mrs. Frank Pohlhammer of Pewaukee spoke at a meeting.
The Holy Name Society will host a Mother's Day breakfast at St. Joseph's parish in Big Bend. The event honors mothers with their daughters in attendance and will award gifts to the oldest and youngest mother participating.
The American Legion Auxiliary met Monday at the Legion club for a business meeting and a Child Welfare program led by Mrs Earl Stacy. Music by Camille Dziedzi and Catholic Memorial students opened the program. Discussions covered foster homes, planned projects, and a poppy drive by 20 units in the district. A nominating committee was named, with elections set for the first June meeting.
Mary 19 will serve dinner at the club house with Mrs Hollingsworth arranging the program. Mrs Meyer the rehabilitation chairman heads the tea sponsored by the Resthoven hospital auxiliary. Clar ence Manion’s The Key to Peace was to be presented at the convention in Cu jon. After the meeting, refreshments were provided by hosts LaVerne Staab Earl Stacy Paul Lenhardt and Alice Comstock.

The event features county officials and community members, addressing welfare aims and the movement, with notes on addiction, delinquency, and related social issues. An Eagles auxiliary rummage sale starts at 9 a.m. tomorrow.
