Three Injured in Westawne Accident and Miscellaneous News
Three persons were treated at Memorial hospital after a late night accident in Westawne with minor injuries. Ruth Hughes, 25, Caroline Ebert, 55, and Ben Ebert, 40, all of 11 Sunkist Ave, sustained facial cuts and bruises. Bonnie Beuge, 4, suffered a bruise near her eye from a bicycle collision on Main Street. Police say Richard Boehmke, 141 Cook St, rode on the sidewalk and struck the girl. Joan Siegelett, 16, 221 E St Paul Ave, was brushed by a car driven by Maynard Nelson, 36, on Five Points. Ervin J. Hammes, 24, Mulowon Route 2, escaped injury when his car left Highway and overturned in a ditch near the Racine county line at 1:30 am. He told deputies he dozed at the wheel. Ida Lupino, American actress, will appear in federal court in about 30 days to take the oath of allegiance and renounce British citizenship.
