Rescue Efforts Fail to Revive Boy in Wisconsin Pond
A seven year old Westowne boy Daniel Miller drowned after stepping onto a thin ice over a pond near his home. Deputies and firefighters attempted resuscitation for about thirty minutes before declaring him dead at 12:40 p.m. Susan Brunner witnessed the incident and described the scene while neighbors rushed to help. Police and witnesses identified several nearby men who attempted to rescue him before the ice broke further.
