Former Grocery Store Owner Dies in Waukesha
Charles Rego of 915 Brookfield Ave in Waukesha died Saturday at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He ran a Brookfield and White Rock area grocery for years and was born in New Berlin. He lived with his niece, Mrs. Ray Egan, who predeceased him, and he belonged to the Catholic Order of Foresters. Survivors include a niece in Waukesha and other relatives. Services are Tuesday at 9 a.m. from Weber Funeral Home to St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. parish vigil tonight at 8 p.m. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today.

17 Ounce Baby Born to Mother in Morristown
A 17 ounce premature baby born Saturday night to Mrs. James L. Newton of Madison survived birth with only a five percent chance of survival, a hospital spokesman said. Mrs Newton was reported to be fine. Medical literature notes a 12 ounce Chicago infant of 1936 as a record holder.

Two Fined for Drunk Driving in Waukesha County
Two men pleaded guilty to drunken driving in municipal court raising the county total to 19 since January 1. Ernest T. Robertson of Milwaukee and Everett Gardner of Crandon, each fined 100 dollars and costs and given one year license suspensions. Robertson was arrested March 20 in New Berlin. Gardner in Muskego. A separate case set for next Monday involves Ronald Habermann of West Allis charged with statutory rape from January in New Berlin. Cooney Man Killed in Crash in Wisconsin

Three injured in county weekend automobile accidents
Three persons were injured in accidents across Waukesha County over the weekend. Robert Kudick, 23, of Oconomowoc, suffered a forehead laceration and knee bruises when his motorcycle collided with a car driven by Clifford Nelson, 63, of Okauchee on Highway 16 near Okauchee. Kudick was taken to Summit Hospital. Margaret Best, a 7-year-old from Janesville, was treated at Waukesha Memorial Hospital for a sprained shoulder after a Saturday crash at Highway 30 and T when Melvyn Dobbs, 21, Milwaukee, said his car stopped suddenly and he lost control, leading to a rollover into a field.
