Born January 4, 1865 in Mehaska he held Wood County register of deeds 1890 to 1908 Forest County register 1912 to 1922 and was the first Laona town clerk. Surviving are his wife two daughters five sons 27 grandchildren five great grandchildren a brother and a sister. Funeral Monday at St Josephs Catholic Church with interment in St Josephs Cemetery. Funeral home will open Sunday after 2 PM and Sunday evening.
