The modern languages department hosts Latin American experts on campus for a two day conference. Pan American Union official Dro and Leman Judsdo will present illustrated lectures on Colombia and the South American center. An all school gathering with Dr. Fried Rippey of the University of Chicago closes the event with a talk on Latin American history. An exhibit of Latin American art will be displayed in Carrier Memorial building.

Other filings include Gaylord Luke opposition in Sixth Ward, Frank J Barron and Jed Haynes in the Eighteenth Ward, Geelon Stuart in the Tenth Ward, and DeSantis challenging Theodora J Nighor in the Third Ward. Henry E. Capelle, 59, of Watertown died Thursday at home after a career as district agent for Lutheran Mutual Life Insurance. Born July 24, 1888 in Sheboygan County, he had lived in Watertown three years and previously in Waukesha. He married Bria Helmke on June 28, 1910 and was a member of St John’s Lutheran Church. Funeral services are Tuesday at 2 PM at Hafe Mainster Funeral Home with subsequent rites at St. John’s Church at 2:30 PM and burial in the Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 3:15 to 9 PM and Tuesday until service time.
