Former Alderman John B. Cook Dies in California
Funeral services were held in San Diego for John B. Cook a former Waukesha grocer and alderman who died Friday after a brief illness. He moved to California in 1934 after selling his shop at 421 Grand Ave and served as alderman from 1921 to 1923 under Mayors Kilehi and Blair. He was a Knights of Pythias member and is survived by wife Esther daughter Mrs. Don Greene and a granddaughter.

Car hits train injuring three in Woodland near Hartford
Three Waukesha residents were badly hurt when their car struck a Milwaukee Road passenger train engine at a Woodland crossing ten miles north of Hartford.
