A Waukesha tragedy reports that Peter John Pellegrini Jr., 14, was accidentally shot by companion William Hagenau, 13, while hunting rabbits near Jefferson avenue. Pellegrini died at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at 6:45 am. The shooting was ruled accidental by Coroner Alvin H. Johnson. Pellegrini, a Waukesha High freshman, had borrowed a gun to form a four-person hunting party with Norman Hagenau, Kenneth Rogers, and William Hagenau. Pellegrini’s death leaves surviving family members and indicates a longstanding carrier for the Waukesha Daily Freeman. Funeral arrangements set for St. Joseph’s Church.
