Mukwonago to Install Fluorine Water Treatment
Mukwonago will become the fifth Wisconsin community to add fluorine to its water. The village will install a Nuorinsting machine at about 400 dollars, pumping fluorine from the village water system under state health supervision. Annual operating costs are estimated at around 684 dollars. Cities already using fluorine include Madison Sheboygan Fond du Lac and Elkhorn. Fluorine is believed to reduce tooth decay and is recommended by the American Dental Association and the state board of health. The A Capella choir and drama department at Waukesha High School staged a Christmas program in the school auditorium drawing a large audience. The 110 voice choir, directed by Milas Zelina Moniux, sang traditional Nativity carols while drama students, led by Frederick Meisner, performed pantomime scenes. The finale featured the Nativity on stage as robed singers filled the aisles. The program, an annual event, was repeated for juniors and seniors and will travel to other grades tomorrow.
