The city council plans final passage of the 1952 budget after over two months of hearings. The 1.5 million dollar proposal marks a 32 percent rise from last year and would total 1,576,576.26 to fund city services. Alderman Frank Roberts led an effort to reduce apathy by inviting residents to attend tonight’s hearing.
NEW BRITAIN Conn PFA world famous hardware firm filled a peculiar order for a pair of Gosf Hinges for 1904 Olis mobile. L J Ogilvie of Dane Wis appealed the Stanley works of New Britain to supply hinges for his 47 year old car, made hinges in early days of the automobile. The Wisconsin man reports the odd hinges fit and his car which was first in his town is back on the road.
Waukesha officials debate meters at Marin Street site with Mayor Beaty backing extended underground parking plans to handle 1 500 to 1 900 cars. Business leaders push for or against meters, arguing matters of convenience, downtown traffic, and Christmas season use while suggesting partial operating hours.
German J. Hunt 86 died at Waukesha Memorial Hospital yesterday. He owned a Pewaukee blacksmith shop and later a flour feed and implement shop before retirement. Funeral tomorrow at 2 p.m. at William R. Haase funeral home Pewaukee with Rev. Edward Super officiating. Burial Forest Hill Cemetery Pewaukee. Survived by brothers Charlie and William and sister Mrs Anthony Johnson of Goonemorac. Daughter Mrs Elsie Hintz resides in Pewaukee. Friends mourning.

A Palmyra native, she previously lived with daughter Mrs. Arthur Vredenburg at 323 N West Ave. Survived by another daughter Mrs Henry Bollogh and son Arthur, both of Palmyra. Funeral Thursday at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home Palmyra.
County posts up for election as seven county offices including county clerk treasurer district attorney registrar of deeds sheriff coroner and clerk of courts will have open races next fall with nominating papers due late July The primary is planned for September 9 and the general election on October 4 Voters abroad will cast absentee ballots for Korea and Europe to aid armed services members The presidential primary may include Sen Robert Taft and Gov Earl Warren with city races for mayor and aldermen also on the ballot None of current officials have announced re election status at this time

The Wisconsin State Aeronautics Commission approved the S120- GH project for Wisha county airport, subject to the governor's signature. State and county pay 30 000 dollars each, federal funds will cover the rest to build a 2100 foot paved runway and lighting to support airliner service.

Howard McGrath said he did not fire T Lamar Caudle when he became head of the tax division in 1949 because he found no serious irregularities.
