Merton Youth Returns Home After War Wounds

Private Laverne Ferrig of Merton returns to the United States after being wounded twice in the Far East. He arrived in San Diego Thursday, is being sent to Valley Forge hospital in Phoenixville for further treatment. Ferrig was wounded in the leg on November 28 and previously in the upper part of his leg during a November 1949 service in the Pacific theater. He called his parents Mr and Mrs Howard G Pergig of Main Street, Merton, from San Diego.
