An unexpectedly successful charity event at Pilgrim Methodist Episcopal Church drew wide local support from Ladies Aid Sunday school and church men. A vast array of donations fueled income far beyond expectations while contests and games attracted many attendees. local residents and merchants contributed generously generating a festive, community-centered evening.

E Haeffner, a mason contractor, drives the frame to any site daily amid ongoing work.
The Guthrie Ladies Aid Society gathered with strong attendance. Future meeting slated at Mrs Guthrie’s on the first Thursday in ten days, discussions included church basement use and holiday gifts. Mr and Mrs F H Guthrie hosted Sunday visitors including Mr and Mrs A Bauer and daughter, Mr and Mrs Thomas Howitt, and Miss Marjory Guthrie.

Mrs Alex Emsité marked her birthday Saturday at home with many friends sending flowers. Chester Evans, son of Mr and Mrs John Evans, had a marvelous escape from death Monday morning in a tense car incident under unclear circumstances.
