Waukesha Milwaukee industrialist William J. Grede, founder of Grede Foundries Inc, was named president of the National Association of Manufacturers at the NAM 56th annual congress in New York. The 34 year old Milwaukee native, active in local business and civic life, has led a pioneer employee benefits program including group insurance, sickness and accident coverage, vacations with pay and a pension, and chairs a foundry industry research committee. He serves on the Carroll College board of trustees and lives in Elm Grove, Wisconsin.

Rural Waukesha Youth Victim of Auto Crash
An 11 year old rural Waukesha youth, Donald McGavock, was killed when his car missed a curve on Hr D near the city, struck a utility pole, sideswiped three trees and rolled over. Witness Robert Ick said McGavock and Menick had been together earlier. deputies note the McGavock car traveled at a high rate of speed. Funeral services are set for Monday at St Josephs church. McGavock is survived by his parents, a brother, a sister, and his maternal grandmother.
