Civil War Vet Albert Woolson Leaves Hospital at 106
The last surviving Union veteran, Albert Woolson, 106, left a Duluth hospital after a 10 day stay for pneumonia and bronchitis. He puffed a cigar while reading about 200 get well cards and hoped to meet his great granddaughter Frances Anne Kobus, who had been unable to visit until she finished a nap. Mrs. John Kobus noted cards and letters poured in from across the country.
