Highway Crashes Injure Youths In Waukesha County
A series of traffic accidents in Waukesha County left a 12-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl injured. Kenneth Zimmerman, 16, driving a 1936 car, caused a three car collision on Bluemound Road near Highway Q0 and the Halfway House. The boy passenger, Lee Nelson, 12, was treated and released. Johannah Bandel, 17, of Chicago, suffered chipped teeth and bruises when her brother Frank, 19, failed to negotiate a curve and hit an underpass abutment near Okauchee Lake. David J. Todd, 18, escaped serious injury when his car rolled over on Highway 6 north of Wales after clipping a mailbox. Traffic at the scene drew a crowd of about 100.
