Four men died from severe burns after a flash explosion at an Okauchee bowling alley yesterday afternoon. The Bonola brothers operated the alleys and, with a pin setter, lacquered the lanes when a lit cigarette ignited lacquer fumes. William, 50, died at 12:05 p.m., Leslie, 48, shortly after midnight, Leo, 45, at 3:30 p.m. yesterday, and Robert Orris, 20, of Independence, Wis., died at 1 p.m. last night. The fire spread to the bar. the ventilating system was off to keep lacquer odors contained. The scene officer cited the cigarette as the likely ignition.
