City housing from the Wrunkesha Housing Authority on Walton Avenue opposite the Wisconsin School for Boys will go on sale Saturday starting at 8900 dollars. The common council approved the plan on recommendation by WA chair John Pfeffer after earlier delays. Veterans gain 30 day priority. about 30 of the homes in the Walton Avenue project will be offered this summer with more frames recently sold on Perkins Avenue. Prices begin at 900 dollars for select units, with several two story homes planned and future costs rising to around 20 percent higher. Council also debated junk removal, youth center leasing, four wheel drive trucks bids, and proposed ordinances.

Train Barely Misses Trio as Car Is Pushed Off Tracks
Three victims fled a stalled car on Blue Mound Road near Sam Pick's night club as a train bore down. William L. Westrock of Milwaukee, 36, and his passengers escaped after a sideswipe collision with Joseph J. Hausch, 45, also of Milwaukee, who was later jailed for drunken driving.
