Jury Gets The Case On Standard Oil Rebating Trial

Findlay Ohio October 18 jurors retired at 8:30 am after long speeches by Virgil Kine and Attorney General Ellis in the Standard Oil of Ohio conspiracy trial. The court rejected most defense points and admonished a telegram incident as guards kept order in the crowded courtroom. A separate verdict found New York Central and Pomeroy guilty of rebate charges in the sugar trust case with up to 120000 possible fines. Subpoenas were issued in St Paul for grand jury testimony on freight rebates by Great Northern, Omaha, Minneapolis and Wisconsin Central railroads.
