Girl Husked 118 Bushels of Corn in One Day

Manila Iowa November 21 Miss Alice Iseminger living four miles north of Manila husked 118 bushels of corn from sunrise to sunset in a single day. Her father M E Iseminger promised a gold watch if she reached 100 bushels but she exceeded that target by 18. The 18 year old is praised as industrious and talented and consistently yields 76 to 90 bushels daily this fall.

Fire destroys depot and elevator at Freda Carroll county

A fire at Freda in Carroll county yesterday leveled the Northwestern depot and the Jargs elevator opposite the tracks. They belonged to Northern Grain Company and Moyers Brothers were managers. Rebuilt structures were burned to the ground.

Nicaraguan Court Confirms Albers Sentence

Many Lives Imperiled In Fire At French Parochial School

Four hundred school girls escaped a blaze at the French Parochial School in Lawrence Massachusetts on November 22 twenty five leaped from a third story and all but one were saved unharmed.
